My name is Cristina Connolly and I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Connecticut.
In 2007 I graduated from Middlebury College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Spanish. I worked as an economic consultant for two years at Analysis Group, researching health outcomes. I graduated with my PhD from the Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics Department at the Ohio State University, where my research interests included local foods, health and built environment, direct marketing farms and consumer valuation. My primary fields are agricultural and land use economics, with an emphasis on local and regional food systems. In addition to research I enjoy teaching and interacting with undergraduate students. I have experience in a range of undergraduate and masters level courses including agribusiness statistics, environmental economics, econometrics and cost-benefit analysis.
